How to stick sports tape?

1. Start with the bottom wrapping
Bottom wrapping is wrapping the ankle with a non-adhesive material before applying tape, and one side of the tape pulls the surface of the skin. Starting at the ankle bone, wrap the underlying material from the sole of the foot to the ankle, no need to go around the heel.
Substrate materials are available at drugstores and sporting goods stores.
Taping can be done without the underlying material, but this reduces patient comfort.

2. Anchor
Cut a piece of tape long enough to wrap 1.5 turns around the ankle. Wrap around the ankle, over the base material, securing the base material. This process is called anchoring because this anchors all the other tapes.
If the ankle has a lot of hair, it should be shaved so the tape doesn't stick.
If necessary, secure the base material with an extra strip of tape.

3. Set up a stirrup
Stand the ends of a strip of tape on either side of the anchor. Pull down to the arch of the foot and back up to the other anchor. Press lightly to hold it in place. Repeat with two more stickers to set up a sturdy stirrup.

4. Tie an X on the foot
Tape one side of the tape to the ankle bone, going around the instep. Run the tape down the arch of the foot and around the heel. Then go around the heel back to the instep and around the other side of the X.

5. Around the figure 8
Stick one end of the tape just above the ankle. Pull around the instep to the arch and back to the other side of the foot. Then go around the ankle back to where you started.
